Why it exists

Good audio decisions should be understandable.

Automated audio services often hide the signal path behind a score. AI Track Washer takes a different approach: describe the processing, let the customer choose between a repeatable chain and manual controls, and explain what the measurements cannot tell them.

The goal is not to disguise where music came from. It is to help a creator make a cleaner, more intentional deliverable while preserving honest provenance and checking the requirements of the next stage.

Operating principles

Four promises we can actually keep.

Explain the signal path

Analog-inspired means digital signal processing that recreates selected tape-era characteristics. It does not imply a physical tape machine or a secret authorship transformation.

Minimize audio retention

Processing files are available for a short download window instead of becoming a permanent customer audio library. The privacy policy describes the operational data that remains.

Keep third parties visible

Stripe and Detect.Music are named where they appear. Their own services and policies apply, and an embedded detector is never presented as an AI Track Washer verdict.

Publish limits with the advice

A loudness number, health report or detector score cannot certify quality, platform acceptance or authorship. Guides link primary sources and show the date they were reviewed.

Editorial standard

How the learning library is maintained.

Technical statements begin with standards bodies, current platform documentation and primary research. Platform-specific advice is labelled as such because requirements and playback behaviour change. Research findings are not generalized beyond the systems and data they studied.

Every guide shows a review date, method note and direct source links. Corrections should improve the original page rather than disappear into an untracked marketing claim. Commercial calls to action do not change a guide’s stated limitations.

The free audio health check reports technical observations from browser-decoded audio. The optional AI detector is a separately operated third-party tool. Neither is presented as a substitute for critical listening, provenance records or professional advice.

Standards first, product claims second.

Core measurement explanations refer to ITU-R BS.1770, EBU loudness documents and AES educational material. Format guidance refers to Xiph.Org, MPEG and the Library of Congress format descriptions. Platform and third-party behaviour is checked against the provider’s current documentation.
