Frequently asked questions
Clear answers before you upload.
How the free local health check, mastering, billing, privacy, downloads, and optional third-party AI detection work.
The service
What to expect.
Does the free Track Health Check upload my audio?
No. That tool decodes and measures the selected WAV or MP3 inside your browser. It sends neither the audio nor its report to AI Track Washer. The separate Detect.Music iframe is a third-party service with its own file selection and privacy terms.
Is the Track Health Check a quality score or mastering meter?
No. It reports descriptive sample-level and broad signal checks with Pass, Review, or Info labels. It does not grade creativity and does not claim standards-compliant integrated LUFS or true peak. Verify critical delivery measurements in a calibrated audio application.
What does analog-inspired mean?
Digital signal processing recreates selected tape-era traits such as high-frequency roll-off, saturation, subtle pitch motion, phase drift, and noise floor. The service does not claim to use a physical tape machine.
What is the difference between Classic and Manual Studio?
Classic uses the fixed seven-stage chain for a repeatable result. Manual Studio exposes nine creative controls so you decide how much tone, motion, saturation, width, and noise are applied.
What files can I master?
Upload one WAV or MP3 track up to 10 minutes. Direct uploads support up to 100 MB; the studio shows the lower current limit if the server requires one.
How long should processing take?
Processing time depends on track length and current demand. The studio displays live progress and keeps checking the private processing job until it is ready or reports a clear error.
What is Step 2 tone repair?
After a completed master, Step 2 can reduce a boxy or enclosed tonal balance without spending another credit. You can compare and download the repaired version during the same private window.
What happens to my audio?
The site does not build a permanent audio library. A completed output is available through your signed-in session for ten minutes. Access then expires and deletion is requested; provider cleanup is asynchronous and backed by a short storage lifecycle.
Can I check a track with an AI detector?
Yes. Detect.Music is embedded on the home page and in the signed-in studio. It is a separate third-party service, so you select the file there separately and its own privacy terms apply.
Will mastering make a track human-made?
No. Mastering changes sound, not origin or authorship. Detector scores are estimates and can be unreliable; no score or authorship result is guaranteed.
Is the result guaranteed ready for a vinyl pressing plant?
No automated master can guarantee plant approval. Confirm the plant's exact level, duration, sequencing, mono-bass, and delivery specifications before manufacturing.
How do subscriptions and single credits work?
The $9.99 monthly plan provides 50 credits in each paid billing period. A $1.99 purchase adds one non-renewing credit. Billing is handled on Stripe Checkout.
